With its iconic harbour, home to the stars, its charming Provencal streets, and its magnificent Mediterranean landscapes and surrounding villages, you’re going to love this legendary seaside resort on the French Riviera.
Depending on what you like, you’ll find in this guide a series of places not to miss when you visit Saint-Tropez.

The first things to see : the old town and the port !

Saint-Tropez

The port of Saint-Tropez is one of the town’s most emblematic locations.

It’s at the port of Saint-Tropez that you’ll feel all the hustle and bustle and friendly atmosphere of the town. Take the time to stroll around, watch the luxury yachts and colourful fishing boats and refresh yourself on the terraces.

A ten-minute walk from the port, head for the olde village: its cobbled streets and pastel houses will transport you back in time. Lose yourself in the narrow streets, discover the local craft shops and sample Provençal specialities at the market on Place des Lices (open on Tuesdays as well as Saturdays).

It’s close to this square that the big fashion houses follow one another (Dior, Gucci, Céline and Valentino), so if you’ve got a luxury shopping budget, it’s time to treat yourself!

Inside, you’ll discover artefacts, model boats, paintings and objects testifying to the rich local heritage. The medieval atmosphere of the site, with its ramparts and towers, adds a touch of authenticity to this cultural exploration.

The Musée de la Gendarmerie et du Cinéma (Gendarmerie and Cinema Museum): A visit to this museum took us back into the history of Saint-Tropez. This small fishing village has become famous thanks to the many films that have been shot here! Visit the various exhibition rooms to discover the links between the film industry and the peninsula.
